Articles-21 Things I Have Learned About Teaching Beginning Guitar

$5.00Price

Here's 21 things author and guitar educator Bill Swick writes about what he has learned about teaching beginning guitar in the classroom.  Mr. Swick has used this outline for numerous presentations at music education conferences around the country.  These 21 observations should be considered for anyone teaching guitar in the classroom.

This eleven-page document is Bill Swick’s script that was used to present at a number of conferences around the country including NAMM, NAfME and GFA.  Swick once read that when making presentations at national conferences, the goal for each attendee is to walk away with at least two pieces of information that may be taken back to the classroom and used on a regular basis.  Swick has adopted that philosophy.  To make sure each person walks away with two nuggets of information; he chooses to present twenty-one.  Certainly, when reading these lectures notes, the reader will extract at least two gems (if not more) of information that may be applied to the daily routine of teaching guitar in the classroom.
